Text alert terms
For tow operators who work with TowingNearMe. Version 2026-10-04.
What these texts are
When a customer asks for roadside help and a job is offered to your truck, TowingNearMe can text your dispatch phone a short alert with a link to open the Operator app and accept. These are job alerts only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not text customers through this program.
Where and how you opt in
Opt-in happens on a web form, not by texting a keyword. There is no number to text and no keyword such as “YES” to send. The live, public form is at towingnearme.app/sms-opt-in: a tow operator enters their dispatch phone and PIN, reads the agreement shown next to an unticked checkbox, ticks it, and taps Turn on text alerts. Operators can also do the same inside the Operator web app, signed in at towingnearme.app/operator/login, on the Text alerts screen (towingnearme.app/operator/alerts). Nobody can opt an operator in on their behalf. A read-only copy of the screen is shown below.

Text alerts
Get a text on (704) 555-0100 when a job is offered to you, so you don't miss one if the app is closed.

The button stays disabled until the checkbox is ticked. Right after opting in, the operator receives this confirmation text: “TowingNearMe: you're signed up for job alerts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
We record the date and time, the wording version (2026-10-04), and the phone number the operator agreed on. Texts stop if that phone number is later changed, until the operator agrees again.
Stopping texts and getting help
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. You can also turn text alerts off any time on the Text alerts screen in the Operator app. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with customer demand.
Privacy
We use your mobile number only to send these job alerts and your confirmation. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Text messages are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio, which handles delivery for us. Opting in to texts is not a condition of working with TowingNearMe; you can use the Operator app without them.
Our public web pages use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help people. It does not run on the Operator, Service Center, or admin screens, and we do not send phone numbers, names, or job details to it.
